Me--I'm one of the "Radical Middle," at least according to Thom Hartmann. I am in favor of publicly financed elections, the Fairness Doctrine for media, a strong safety net, rational environmental protections (hate to think we're eating, drinking, or breathing toxins just so the corps can make a few more bucks), American jobs for American workers, healthcare for all Americans, and a responsive and responsible government.

Most Americans, if polled on these things by a good polling agency, agree with most of them. The idea that anyone who calls for these things isn't "mainstream" is an illusion fostered by the corporate media and a seriously right-leaning political discourse.

Don't fool yourself into thinking that just because you agree with so called "moderate" Democrats who are, in fact, CONSERVATIVE Democrats or DINOs (in other words--corporate shills who call themselves Democrats to bleed away any power and influence the Democratic party might have) that you are in any way "mainstream." The only reason people get away with this is because the majority of Americans are too apathetic and ignorant to truly grasp the big picture of what's going on in this country.
