So With saddam Dead, How Will Our Soldiers Fare?
I know several who are in Iraq, and one in Afghanistan. They will be lucky to come home alive. I am very scared for them and all of our soldiers.

2. Bring 'em all home now. Mission accomplished, right?
:grr:

My cousin, a medical man, is just back from Kirkuk -- a meatgrinder, or maybe a body shop, collision damage repair. I don't know how to describe it. Lots of broken bodies, and I hope like hell it doesn't get worse in the days and weeks ahead. :(

3. Saddam is not
very popular in many corners of Iraq. A 2-3 day spike in violence is not out of the question. But a mass upsurge beyond the already mass upsurge is a ludicrous proposition. Saddam just doesn't carry that much weight outside of Tikrit, Samara and Bayji.

4. The next 72 hours will be critical
but my gut is telling me not well.

Not that my gut is right all the time, but I don't expect this new year to be very merry for many Iraquis or Americnn Families

I fear we have just opened the doors of hell
