I am sick of the "GREAT FORD"
How can this guy be honored when he allowed millions to die in Cambodia under his watch?

I haven't posted much recently but this grand retro(revisionist)spective is making me sick.

2. I don't believe in a "GREAT FORD" either
Then again, I prefer GM or Toyota products myself.

of the ass-kissers of the elites...

Happens every time one of the elite's key employees dies.

4. funny
I haven't seen a single person on TV or here on DU refer to him as "Great".

And what should he have done in Cambodia - invade and occupy? Should Carter have done so?

5. He was a bumbling hack in life
and it now seems as though before he died he tried to blame his assistants. He let them roll over him and millions died and the conflict continues today.

When he pardoned Nixon, I hated him and I have never forgiven him, even in death. Go to the Bardo Gerald. SO enough already with the funeral. Don't take the spotlight off the squirming of the criminals under the microscope and the first 100 hours of Nancy's reign. That's where the real story will be. And the committee investigations are going to be just delicious.

6. Yeah
let's give his death more power...let it go. This is what usually happens when an American (great or not) dies.

7. What would you have had him do in Cambodia?
The American people were sick of the Indochina adventure and Congress had voted to cut off funds from being expended for military purposes in that part of the world.

And let's not forget that when the Vietnamese drove the Khmer Rouge out a few years later, the great humanitarian Jimmy Carter opposed that action.

9. He was the great protector of Republican criminals.
I am, however, unclear on the wonderful things he did for the rest of us.
