What we are into is nationbuilding. We are spreading hatred. We want to help this president*, but he is hard to help.
He answered substantive questions with rhetoric. Our troops are the targets of the insurgency. ... It's time for us to change direction. Go to the perifery. ... I'm convinced we are spending our money the wrong way. We should be fighting terrorism.
We are not the police of the world. We can't nation build. There's tyranny everywhere in the world.
Our military is not going to be well prepared if we continue to fight this war in Iraq.
Bush says the future of the world depends on our fighting tyranny (s). Murtha says Bush keeps mischaracterizing this war, in order to talk about terrorism.
Bush has not convinced the publish. The people believe that he is lying to the public. They are far ahead on this. WHAT is the plan for victory.
Chris: How do we avoid being humilated?
Murtha: Get out of there. Go to war only when it hurts our national interest.
its very nice to have the details - and such important details they are wonder if any of it will ever sink in for chris but we cant worry about that of course
glad to hear that jack murtha was able to bring this sanity to the show that is sorely lacking
mischaracterizing the war in Iraq we didn't go to war against tyranny we went for WMD The public thinks the president is lying What is the plan? Had their election, they have to fight for themselves like we did in the US We have NO exit strategy
Murtha couldn't bring himself to say he thought Bush lied. Said the American people think he lied - Yes Congressman Murtha "he lied" and I guess I understand why you can't say it out loud. Tweety would nail you, swift boaters would call for your public hanging.
