The Repubz keep saying Iraq and the 'war on terror' are important.

Will somebody remind me WHY it is important? They are only talking words in the media but I'm not hearing much of substance (after all, this is television).

Not to put words into their mouths or mine, but surely the lack of specifics isn't encouraging anybody to defend this Country?

I rented Network last night and sat through its entirety for the first time in about 15 years....

in it, they talk about Network news covering "terrorists" ...there are specific mentions of terrorist hijacking airliners....there are references to terrorists "blowing up buildings"...

so?

so the f*** is new about terrorists or terrorism?

NOTHING IS NEW.... it's been going on for decades...perhaps (in some form or another) for centuries....

sense when you consider that terrorist don't fight, they blow themselves up and everyone around them. Tell me just how does one fight an invisible force you can't see until after they strike? The pukes try to make it sound like WW II where opposing armies face off. Terrorists can't be fought like that because they don't face off, they probe until they find a weakness then strike then disappear until they find the next weak target. Theres only one answer to terrorism, lock up and exterminate every opposing view, like Mao and Stalin did. Then make all religion illegal. As well as any political idealism except yours.
