"Pope makes Christmas appeal for children"

You can't make headlines like that up. I was born/raised Catholic, but I couldn't resist thinking of the potential late-night-talk-show punchlines.

Well the Pope didn't have to look far, did he now?

4. More action, less words.
I challenge the Pope to auction off Vatican artwork to raise money for the charity programs for children. Of course, this will not happen, but I can't stand to watch this man lecture on helping children and do no good works on his own initiative.

5. Agreed
It doesn't necessarily have to be the artwork in the Vatican, but he can certainly do more than a few words at Christmas. Something like, Hmmm..... A no tolerance policy for abusers? Full and complete disclosure and cooperation with local authorities. The Church is not perfect and will never be as long as human beings have failings (and we all do), but leadership is needed to put a stop to the years of cover up and deceit that has been fostered by this organization.

6. You really can't make it up...
Yet another example of comedy writers having their work done for them.
