Republicans have a pre-9/11 mindset.
New Democratic Talking Point

They keep referring to this as a "war" on terrorism.
Wars are old-fashioned, pre-9/11 types of conflicts.
This is not a "war", that term no longer applies post-9/11.
This is Foriegn Policy Edict. Pro-Actively seek out and destroy terrorism, here or abroad.
Traditional armies like we have in Iraq are not the proper tool. That is pre-9/11 thinking.
We need a whole new tool, a whole new branch of the military, to address terrorism.

(what do you think?)

1. I agree, but the masses will need to look up the word Edict.

3. Republicans have chosen not to use a valuable tool we have had
We were well equipped to covertly fight terrorists with our special forces (Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps) and should have continued to do so, but what's the scare factor in that? I agree we should proactively seek and destroy (but in a covert manner). Bush and his "conservative" supporters are not fighting terrorism. They are tap dancing and the dry drunk bush is just hoping the next three years flys by.

In my humble and not always accepted opinion, 9/11 was not that important an event in our countries history. It is only being used as a political tool by those WITH NO IDEAS!

4. True
A Gore administration would've quietly dealt with al-Qaeda behind the scenes.

Young muslims would've continued to gradually become more westernized due to satellite TV. But now instead of watching Eminem on MTV they're more likely to see atrocities on al-Jazeera.
