I realize that this is thinking ahead a bit, but I simply can't wait to hear (?) the DEAFENING silence that is bound to greet *'s speech this coming year, now that we have a majority in both houses. No more of those bogus standing ovations, I'll bet!

1. Don't count on it

They always cheer for the President, even if they don't agree with him. Besides its all a big poker game, so they will play along on the surface, anyway.

A few might remain seated, like Jim Webb. In fact I'd have a camera on Webb to get his facial expressions duing Bush's speech. Now that would be interesting.
