Jack Abramoff should have been Time's Man of the Year
Jack is a wonderful guy. I really mean that. He is the one thing most responsible for the results of the 2006 election.

The blogosphere and the rest of the internets did a stellar job, but not every voter is part of that world. Many more people get their news from traditional sources, who were more than helpful in pointing out everyone who took Abramoff's money.

I feel that if it weren't for Jack Abramoff bankrolling every major scumbag Repuke in Washington and the press pointing out who these people were, we'd be looking at a Republican majority in 2007.

1. well maybe, but don't discount Foley and the MegaChurch idiots too
I think Katrina started the ball rolling and Jackie-boyo was just part of the massive snowball of hypocrisy and corruption that rolled over the GOP last month

2. Some of Abramoff's quintessentially Republican quotes:
Edited on Sun Dec-17-06 08:52 PM by brentspeak
On the Indian tribe with whom was doing business (and stabbing in the back at the same time):

http://www.answers.com/topic/abramoff-senate-indian-affairs-documents-2004-09-29

"Might be better to meet after we see –––––––––. I think it 's essential that you take Otto to dinner tomorrow night. Can you do it? I have to meet with the monkeys from the Choctaw tribal council. You need to close the deal with him. I set it up tonight."

and...

"Choctaw did not yet pay us for –––––––––? Shoot! Should I call ––––––––– on this? we need to get some $ from those monkeys! ! ! As to Ralph, go ahead and pay him so I can get him off my back. we'll get the Choctaw money soon enough."

and:

"Just spoke with Chris. Did you get Maynard? Chris said they are voting on the project today! Can you smell money?!?!?!"

and:

"The f'ing troglodytes didn't vote on you today. Dammit."

Jack Abramoff: former head of the College Republicans, member of the Bush Pioneer Club, guest at the Bush White House numerous times, on a first-name basis with practically every Republican in Washington. The quintessential Republican.

4. I liked how Salon picked that guy from the Macaca incident
The Indian-American who George Allen made a racist remark towards.

That one incident probably was what caused the tipping of the balance because who thought Jim Webb would actually beat a 'safe-seat' George Allen
