Nope.

Complete, exhaustive search of America's Newspapers via Newsbank. Never, never happened. :)

You may now resume your daily GD. :hi:

ON EDIT: Ah, Newsjock found it. See below.

It showed up in a Lexis search:

SHIRT GETS TEACH A DRESSING-DOWN Daily News (New York) February 11, 1999, Thursday

LENGTH: 179 words

HEADLINE: SHIRT GETS TEACH A DRESSING-DOWN

BYLINE: BY THOMAS M. DEFRANK

BODY:
WASHINGTON A Pennsylvania school teacher was yanked out of a VIP Senate gallery and briefly detained last week during the impeachment trial for wearing a T-shirt with graphic language dissing President Clinton.

Dave Delp, 42, of Carlisle, Pa., and a friend had just settled into their seats last Saturday when four Capitol security guards approached them. Delp said yesterday he was ordered to button his coat and follow the guards. Outside the chamber, he was told "several people felt threatened by your shirt," which said, "Bill Doesn't Inhale He Just S---s."

On edit: It's in the online Daily News archives, but there's a fee for retrieving it.

9. Thank you
It's always better to know the truth, no matter how bitter it is. I get tired of my winger brother zapping me with stuff like this.

11. Partially relevant
you have to admit. Apparently, they WILL remove you from the chambers for wearing a t-shirt.

12. 100% irrelevant. Removal isnt the issue. Unfair treatment is.
Rep. Youngs wife - not arrested.
Cindy - arrested.

100% illegal.

14. Ill spell it out for you.
Case 1: Delp
Clintons Impeachment (not SOTU), wears shirt w/ political statement. Removed, NOT ARRESTED.

Case 2: Young's wife
Bush SOTU 2006, wears shirt w/ political statement. Removed, NOT ARRESTED.

Case 3: Cindy Sheehan
Bush SOTU 2006, wears shirt w/ political statement. Removed, ARRESTED.

The issue has nothing to do with the Shirt. That part is CONSISTANT IN ALL CASES.
The INCONSISTANCY IS THE ARREST.

The ARREST is ILLEGAL.

15. Well now who's being inconsistent?
You were yelling 100% IRRELEVANT at me. Now it's only INCONSISTENT. Yes, I can see the inconsistency, I'm not an idiot. I can also see the relevance, which apparently you cannot. Cindy also has a history of being arrested in Washington DC, so I am not totally surprised that they cuffed her.

I think your time is better spent upping your high score, d00d.

16. You need to learn what irrelevant means.
You wrote: "It's always better to know the truth, no matter how bitter it is. I get tired of my winger brother zapping me with stuff like this."

That clearly implies that this information changed Cindy's situation, or affected it negatively in some way.
It doesn't.

The existance or non-existance of Dave Delp's story has no negative effect on Cindy Sheehan.
Therefore, its irrelevant. That is what irrelevant means.

But you know, you might be right. Dave Delp may not be totally irrelevant to Cindy Sheehan's lawsuit.
I think it strengthens it, because now Cindy can quote that story AND Mrs. Youngs treatment in her lawsuit.
She can show that they were NOT arrested, and she WAS. That makes for a stronger Civil Rights Violation case.

So, in the end, I guess I was wrong and you were right. It is relevent after all. Its helpful to Cindy Sheehan.
