to legitimize his illegal domestic spying? Would he try to slip by the Congress legislation that would legalize his criminal activity of the past? I would not doubt it. But, I have littl faith that anyone in the Congress will read the "new" Patriot Act before they sign on to it. These people are criminals. Democrats cannot react so naively... I hope they don't...

governments are made of; bushco should NEVER be left unchecked by the other branches of government. Unfortunately politics is overriding common sense about important issues like the Patriot Act; the abuses and excuses by bushco of the Patriot Act are already evident.
