While the digital empowerment of the electorate certainly played a role in this year's election, it was Dean's fifty-state strategy that made the precedent-setting "Blue Tsunami" possible. But heaven forbid that the MSM should give ANY kind of praise to Democrats. That's why Rumsfeld was fired the day after the election, and why Bush is putting off his new Iraq strategy until after Christmas--the alternative is allowing the Dems to command the headlines.

For his telling of the truth...such a rare thing in America these days, the truth. Our country was founded and based on truth and trust. These are things I think Keith Olbermann still values, as does the majority of the American people. Time and Newsweak have become the "tabloids" of the day, because they've abandoned Trust and Truth.

And it seems like the type Time would pick. They certainly wouldn't have gone in a predictable way (my guess was Pelosi).

When it all comes down to it, I think many of this year's big stories revolve around the new media (namely us). I think the choice makes a lot of sense, and it is a good article. And for the people here poo-poohing it, stop bitching so much. It's not an award! And if it was, would you want your favorite person to be in the same company as Hitler, Stalin and Khomeini? Jeez!
