Woman gets first Maine delivery of discounted Venezuelan oil...
'CITGO is the only oil corporation answering the call made by U.S. senators to use part of their record profits to help U.S. lower classes.

PORTLAND, Maine --A Venezuelan-funded program that provides discounted heating oil for thousands of needy Mainers kicked off its second season Tuesday, this time without the blessing of Gov. John Baldacci.

The first delivery arranged through Citizens Energy Corp., a Massachusetts-based nonprofit company, went to Elece Leonard, a 55-year-old woman who lives alone and is unable to work because she suffers from diabetes.'

1. I think that we should.d get the oil
for the poorer among us. Families should not go cold because the big bush companies want to over charge us. Kennedy has done a great job. He has provided more low income people with oil for many years. I think the Democrats now have to show everyone that they will not allow the bastard oil companies free run over us.

3. i do agree...
i understand how hard it is to get oil out of the ground & onto the market as there are many contentious variables, my husband used to work in the field; but it should not be the case we then hand so vital a commodity to so slight a regulated industry, or for that matter into the hands of Bonny & Clyde...it just too important
