Students give staff night off by watching their kids

Liberty High School teachers got a night to themselves Friday. With the hectic weeks before Christmas almost over, students decided to give their teachers a break by baby-sitting their children for three hours in the school cafeteria.

"Teachers deserve a night off," said Caitlin Tittl, a Liberty High senior.

Tittl and 15 other students watched over 10 of their teachers' children. There were stations in the cafeteria for crafts, games, dodgeball, cookie-making and other activities. A "Cars"-themed bounce house was in one corner of the room.

Tittl and Jennifer Whitty, 16, bounced a dodgeball back and forth with 10-year-old Madison Youngblood. The child said she was enjoying all of the activities.

"Fun, fun, fun!," Youngblood said.
