My word, his "soap box" rantings...talk about Jingo bells!
====
Everytime anyone starts talking about the persecution of Christians by Muslims there is always somebody out there who either doesn’t believe it or starts making excuses to suggest that Christians have brought it on themselves.
What about the man in Afghanistan, an Afgan, who was on trial for converting to Christianity?
Now would you or would you not call that persecution?
Some people will go to all lengths to discredit Christianity.
They talk about Jim Jones and David Koresh, about the Spanish Inquisition and all the way back to The Crusades.
Well I’ve got a rude awakening for you; neither Jim Jones nor David Koresh represented Christianity. What they did is just as despicable and deplorable to a true Christian as to anybody else on earth. Probably more so.
The Spanish Inquisition was one of the cruelest periods in human history and in no way representative of Christianity.
And to claim that it was being done in the name of Almighty God makes it even worse. Thank God it ended three hundred years ago.
The Crusades were also cruel and though we tend to look back at them as noble undertakings, in most cases they were anything but that.
I personally think that a lot of people who site these events simply don’t know what Christianity is about. No matter how
evil men have twisted it, if you look in the Bible, you will find that Christianity is built on love and forgiveness.
Of course, Christianity has been misused and abused. Of course, there have been horrible things done, supposedly in the name of God, which have absolutely nothing to do with being a follower of Jesus.
I know that there are profit motivated preachers, charlatans, con men and dishonest, unprincipled people who operate under the Christian banner for nothing more than their own benefit. But please don’t judge the faith by these people.
A true Christian would never give anybody poison Kool Aid or
make them stay in a burning building or torture people in the name of God or senselessly slaughter thousands of the helpless or bomb an abortion clinic.
Don’t take somebody’s word about what being a true Christian means, take the time to read the first four books of The New Testament which deal with the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
If Islam is truly a peaceful religion, why are they so afraid of Christians?
...No other religion is persecuted like Christians. Although it’s a well-known fact that radical factions of Islam are sponsoring terrorism around the world. You seldom hear a disparaging word about their religion.
Cults, whose beliefs are so off the wall that no rational person could possibly believe what they embrace, are seldom if ever subjected to the ridicule and condescension Christianity is subjected to.
Well brothers and sisters we may as well get ready for it. It’s coming. It’s part of the last days scenario and I truly believe that we are living in the last days.
I believe that persecution of Christians will only get worse as time passes. We will be treated with disdain and disrespect by the major media and liberal politicians.
Should we just lie down and take it? No! No! No! Brothers and sisters it’s time to get militant.
And no, for all you people who scrutinize every nuance for an excuse to accuse me of being a warmonger, I am not talking about going into the streets with guns or blowing up abortion clinics. That kind of behavior has nothing to do with Christianity.
What I’m talking about is letting our voices be heard, in public forums and voting booths.
It just really gets under skin of the secular public when the Christian coalition prints a list of candidates and where they stand on issues of interest to the Christian community.
Well stop and think about it, doesn’t the church of the Lord Jesus Christ have as much right to know about a candidate and how his or her convictions will effect us as a trade union or a special interest group?
And don’t write me and tell me about separation of church and state. Read The Constitution and all the federal papers for that matter. The phrase separation of church and state is not in any of them.
What is in The Constitution is a codicil, which says that the government will not pass any law concerning religion, which is meant to protect the church from the state and not the other way around.
Christians, don’t go along with the crowd, sit back and say, “Well there ain’t nothing I can do about it”. The least you can do is pray about it.
Defend your faith, you’ve read the book, you know how this comes out. No matter how many monuments of the Ten Commandments are removed from public places, no matter how many times the Christian faith is held up to ridicule, no matter how vehemently prayer in school is denied, no matter how much Jesus’ spotless name is uttered in profanity, no matter how many false prophets interpret the Bible to say what they want it to, remember this.
Every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God The Father.
Every judge, every A.C.L.U. lawyer, every politician, every false prophet, every one who has ever taken a breath on this earth
will bow down to Jesus Christ and know and confess that the one who they have denied a place in American life is not only King of the United States and planet earth but King of the universe.
I choose to bow and confess now, and I invite you to join me.
Pray for our troops.
What do you think?
God Bless America.
