They are still laughing at us!
Watching MSNBC and all the talk today, I have to say, the talking heads still mock democrats even in our victory. They discussed Obama and mentioned that he did cocaine. Then they talked about Hillery. Then someone said they think that Gore is the strongest possibility yet. Some of the guest laughed. But, I think it was Buchanan, said don't laugh he has lots of support and the environmental issue. They made fun of Obama's stance on Health care. They talked about liberals and that the liberals are out and can't be elected. Made fun of Kucenich.
With all the scam on Guliani, McCain, Bush et. al, why are they not bring up all of their issues?
I know we have always faced this uphill battle, being the underdogs and the peoples party and all, but still, it is so annoying and it makes me so mad. I hate unfairness and injustice and we keep getting knocked around.
Plus, why just have a bunch of right-wing jerks talk about what is going on. Why not interview the people they are talking about?
Anyway thank god for the net and non-MSM news sources.

Let them laugh. It will fuel even more of a backlash against the thugs.

3. That's all they can do. They lost. They're scared shitless of Obama.
If they didn't feel threatened, they wouldn't be talking about anything.

Let them laugh. From the outside, where they belong.

5. We have to hit them on it
I just saw a woman from HuffPost let Scarborough get away with a stupid "Hussein" comment on Obama. Before she said her part - she should have smacked him for using that right wing line of tripe.

And like some of us have said for a while, it doesn't matter who they go after - they WILL go after every Democrat out there.

25. that's right so we should not be afraid to run Gore or anyone
else because we don't believe the media will be kind to them. They will try to destroy anyone we run. They will repeat anything the Right-wing puts out.

9. Obama did cocaine? When did he find the time????
Geez, I thought the SMOKING was gonna be the kiss of death for him, but the marching powder could be problematic....! Way back when, it crucified Julian Bond, who was really going places....of course, if it was 'youthful experimentation' he might be able to get away with it.

Of course, you have to cut your cloth according to your MSNBC host--if it was Scarborough, you just must consider the source....he always has a slew of apologists on.

12. The media (MSM) is largely to blame for the where we are in Iraq and where we are
in this country. They will never be held accountable except by people like DUers who chronicle their statements but most ignore their hypocrisy, double standards, and flip-flopping. But they need their consciences seared with the pain and suffering of the US military in Iraq and the families of the dead Iraqis. The media helped sell GW Bush to the American public and they surely did a lot to sell the war in Iraq and to keep the truth about the mess in Iraq from the American public.

29. Exactly! They are complicit in the mess we find ourselves in.
They also were guilty of flinging non-stop BS during Clinton's terms, knowing it was a pack of lies. And they allowed utter nonsense to pass as truth in the 2000 and 2004 campaigns.

They willingly sold their integrity and ethics down the river. They abdicated their responsibilities as truth-tellers in favor of performing the equivalent of circus tricks for their masters. Its goddamn sickening.

13. It is the calm before the storm of investigations. They have nothing of substance to talk about
Edited on Mon Dec-11-06 04:53 PM by Sapere aude
because the new Congress is not yet in session.

I bet the media is chomping at the bit for Dems to start investigations so they can have something to talk about and to build ratings again.

I wouldn't worry too much about what they say now. It is just media babble.

21. its nervous laughter- what I
am struck by is that 'our' flaws are pretty transparent- yet, anyone who thinks * never did coke, that "Mit Romney/Jeb Bush" would be a 'winning ticket' (I heard that on the radio today, and the person who said it was dead serious- and that this last election wasn't an indication that the American people are sick to death of this administration, needs to laugh now, because they are in fro a rude awakening.

we who laugh last, laugh best-

count on it-

28. We are all victims. I sympathize with those who have suffered
from the media's selling of this war, of all the right wing lies that have caused so much suffering. We've been lied to, bullied, robbed, and murdered because of the complacent media. The dems will do better but we still have to fight hard for what is right.
