Rep. McKinney Files Articles of Impeachment
By Matt Pascarella
Published: Friday December 8th, 2006

Editor’s note: GNN has been covering this story as it unfolds on Capitol Hill. We will have video of Rep. McKinney’s floor speech and an exclusive interview with the Congresswoman up shortly.

On Monday, gathering in a conference room in Washington D.C., Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney and her advisors worked on a draft copy of the articles of impeachment against President Bush.

At the heart of the charges contained in McKinney’s articles of impeachment, is the allegation that President Bush has not upheld the oath of presidential office and is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors.

1. W should be impeached for the Iraqi unjustified war.
But the hysterical right wing zealots still think a blow job is the only true reason for impeachment of a U.S. president.

6. Don't worry, a lot of neo-cons want him impeached, too
For letting illegal immigration get completely out of hand.

Bushy's making friends all over the place, isn't he?

5. Bush has admitted to breaking the law on TV
He admitted to illegal wiretapping.

Cynthia McKinney seems to have done this because it was her last chance, and it looks like Conyers isn't even going to investigate Bush's crimes.

I hope she continues her work on the Hill as a regular citizen. She can join Cindy Sheehan and the rest of us January 3 in DC when we confront congress and demand they uphold the constitution.
