Jonathan Turley at Conyers’ NSA Hearing: Bush Committed a Crime
Conyers knows Bush MUST BE IMPEACHED!

http://www.archive.org/download/illegal_spying/nsa_hearing1-turley.mp3

The Supreme Court has rejected the very claims being made by the President with regard to the NSA operation, it is in direct contradiction of FISA.

Now I want to be absolutely clear, what the President ordered in this case was a crime. Now we can debate whether he had a good or bad motivation, but it was a crime.

The federal law makes it clear- you cannot engage in this type of domestic surveillance without comitting a crime.

We can debate the wisdom of that, we can debate why the President may have done it, but in my view, the President committed a crime, and we have to deal with that as citizens. And unfortunately, you have to deal with that as members of Congress.

It strikes an alarming circumstance when the President can go into a press conference and announce that he has violated a federal statute 30 times, and promises to continue to do so until someone stops him. That is the most remarkable admission that I have ever heard from a President of the United States…

2. We Were Defrauded!
b8sh cheney rumsfled lied to get us into Iraq and Afghanistan in order to protect their precious oil pipelines.
They spy on us and crammed the antiPatriot act down our throats which stripped us of numerous civil liberties plus decimated environmental regulations even before that, and even more so afterward.

Kick these d1ckheads out and imprison them NOW! before more innocent people have to die because of greed in the name of the NWO and b8sh crime cabal.

They will not stop until we force them. b8sh has said as much plus actions speak...look around, the writing is on the wall.

5. the art of war
18. All warfare is based on deception.
19. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable...
24. Attack him when where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected.
25. These military devices, leading to victory, must not be divulged beforehand.

Unite and Strengthen while appearing harmless, then STRIKE! when you are certain of your superiority and advantage.

...of a criminal administration which has done too much damage to our country, to our civil rights, to be allowed to continue!

36. On the road to impeachment
we finally have to have the hearings on these illegal programs and STOP them.

We don't want any president to have these powers. The programs have to stop. As they are looked into the crimes will become clearer, impeachment more likely.

37. As Pat_K and others have outlined...
...investigations have already produced solid evidence of impeachable offenses.

Yes, we have to go through the formal procedures outlined by the Constitution for the impeachment process, but we have to be on our toes and not let *investigations* string out forever, as an avoidance technique.

their questions answered.

200 of the widows' 300 questions got no response at all.

11. Yes! In case Pelosi, et al. misunderstood...
...we turned out in our numbers to sweep Republicans out of office because we want an end to war and criminality.

Social Security, the minimum wage, support for education -- all this and much more can come later, after we are sure we are going to have a free country in which to *enjoy* these benefits!

17. So true. I agree that we need answers to 9/11...
...and we need to know more about who is running the country. Bush is the poster boy, but he lacks the intelligence and sophistication to design the coup we've been living through for these last six years.

All of this scares the crap out of me. We all want to do something, but it's hard to know what is effective when we're boxing with shadows.

18. I think Congress desperately needs to investigate ITSELF
and put the screws to those who are leaving too.

The more of them we can scare, the more of them we can get to panic and throw another under the bus.

19. I grow tired of hearing how we just can't do it all...
...and there's probably some truth to that because graft is so widespread...but you're right. We need to hold these people responsible, even if they are leaving the Congress. The harm they've done lives on!

21. I suspect you're right. The "Brotherhood" will CTA ** ..
** Cover their asses.

Through the years, there have been a lot of funerals for old Nazis who made it out of Europe, or hid in plain sight, after the war ended, and I've seen pictures of their comrades in arms standing around sieg heiling them with a final Nazi salute, years after the war.

I just watched the original "Alien" with my daughter, and I was sitting there thinking how like that creature this cancer on our democracy is.

Let me not give you the impression I'm morbidly obsessed with all this. It runs in the background, but I just had a wonderful walk tonight, under the stars of Santa Fe, with a sprinkling of snow coming down. Life is good, and we have to fight to keep the beauty of this country, to enjoy it until our own last hurrah, and to pass it on to a generation that we've taught to understand how precious it is.

I'm too tired to look it up, but there's a quote from Gandhi that says something about good always winning in the end!

Cheers!

22. I've seen that quote...
and, yeah, I think that's most likely too.

We really need the PEOPLE to wake up and pay attention. We need to be able to reach out and communicate even more directly with our congress, and let them know we're watching and not ready to let things slide.

25. The thing is...do we want the idiot-in-chief's attention?
We just want him out of office, so he can do no more harm.

I think he's happy cutting brush in Crawford, and we want him to be happy, don't we?

He's a guy that thinks a 700 mile fence is a good idea, so I say we have a fence-raising potluck and put GW in a good, protected space.

Being silly here. Sometimes it helps overcome the grief! :)
