So people can't disagree anymore? Somehow there's been some criteria that's been passed either on DU or some other site that dictates what constitutes a "loyal Democrat" or Progressive or whatever? Damn...I didn't get that memo.

I think there are many, many, many more ways that Cindy and other could and should be protesting this war. I admired Cindy when she asked a simple question "why"...and to demand an answer. Keep it simple. I didn't want to know her views on Hugo Chavez or Diane Feinstein. I was hoping for someone who would unite the various factions that oppose the war and this regime and to create a very large voice that the powers-that-be (including the corporate media), couldn't avoid, deny or spin away. That hasn't happened.

Now aren't we fighting against those who believe in a lock-step mindset? Against people who have no tolerance? Compassion? Ability to reason or argue. Just shut up and go along. Sorry, I found this to be one of the most repressive things about the Repugnicans and sure won't tolerate it with Democrats.

I know people are very upset and frustrated here right now, but this is when you need to be play smart, not angry. Maybe things will cool off here in the next couple days...

I totally agree that there is no bravery shown from Bush, however, the soldiers are, for the most part, just as much the victims as the wounded. We see our soldiers bravely doing their jobs. We also see shots like the soldier carrying the wounded little girl with a look on his face like he's about to cry, just as "No bravery in your eyes anymore,

I'm sure many of them are torn at times between their duty and their hearts. But the media and rabid "Support the Troops" folks ignore this side of it, make out that our men and women in uniform aren't being deeply affected by the damage they witness and yes, even inflict on innocents. THAT'S the reality being denied, which this flash exposes.
