Don't Ya Just Love When You Come Across Some Bush Slam Unexpectedly In Your Local Community Paper?
You all get them, right? The local ones that come out once a week and contain a whole lot of fluff but never really anything political?

I always skim through it and just finished browsing this week's paper. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, there was this huge * slam in the most unexpected of places. Totally caught me off guard and cracked me up!

Not sure if many of them have this or not, but our local paper has a little section on the side of one page where each week they ask a question to people they find on the street, and list 4 responses along with pictures.

This week's question: "If money were no object, what gifts would you wish for this holiday season?"

Response 1: I would like a vacation to a warm tropical island.

Response 2: I would want a second floor on my house for my son's teenage years.

Response 3: I would want a better president that would do a better job with foreign affairs and who realizes that there are more countries in the world than the United States.

My jaw dropped. I just found that so friggin funny to just come out of nowhere like that to such an innocent question.

I just love surprise things like that in my local fluff never political paper, don't you? LOL

4. It Was A Woman. Looked About Early 50's Or Late 40's.
I just thought it was cool to come across that, cause that section with the thoughtless replies to the question never contain anything even remotely controversial or political. It just totally blindsided me and cracked me up. Good for her! (And this was in Morris County, a much more red than average area of Jersey).

2. I work down the hall from an amateur cartoonist ...
He moonlights doing the editorial cartoons for our local weekly. He's always been very quiet and apolitical at work, and I was amazed when he showed me a Bush-slamming cartoon on his drawing board! I complimented him on the likeness, and he put a signed original in my mailbox!

3. Beautiful!
When you have Bush slams in weekly newspapers, you know that the nation is turning back to sanity and away from the insand BFEE.
