12/6: Iraq Study Group Results - 12/7: Fire Karl Rove!!!
Edited on Wed Dec-06-06 09:11 PM by RiverStone
After 9 months of talking heads, the Iraq Study Group (ISG) releases its findings which included 79 recommendations to NOT stay the course. What a surprise to hear that Iraq is a utter and complete catastrophe. Hey ISG, the American people were WAY ahead of y'all on this! To quote Al Gore from his interview on the Today Show with Matt Lauer this a.m. "This is an utter disaster...This was the worst strategic mistake in the entire history of the United States. And now we, as a nation, have to find a way, in George Mitchell's words, to manage a disaster."

How long does Bush expect We The People to wait for a response?

His first step: FIRE KARL ROVE tomorrow! December 7, 2006

:applause:

That would be but one step of a thousand, but it would show BushCo finally is no longer going to regurgitate "stay the course" forever. Sadly, he probably is not capable of listening to one damn thing outside of the myopic voices that surround him.

1. How about resignation
The biggest obstacle to a solution in Iraq is the Problem-in-Chief. The ISG report is tantamount to an indictment. There is no no more point in this asdministration seeing their own disaster through than letting a drunk drive home from the crash scene. The next two years will be a charade and an embarrassment for all concerned. Impeachment is not imminent but it may be unavoidable. Hopefully Uncle Jim has shared that with the severely impaired president. Evan Thomas of Newsweek described Baker's role as talking Bush "out of the trees." Let's hope he succeeds.

2. That would be wonderful, yet...
I/we have come to expect so little from Chimp, that any movement towards or acknowledgment of fixing this tragic mistake would be amazing.

3. Don't hold your breath. Rove has had his clawes in the W for more than two
decades.

4. Also he played
but a minor role in the Iraqi invasion. He is not a significant player in the war. His role was in the WHIG, doing some of the publicity needed to sell the war. But it is a PNAC/neoconservative project.

He should have been fired for his role in the Plame scandal. And he is likely to resign on January 18th.
