Hope someone taped James Spader ("Alan Shore"}'s speech

about the way the government is using national security to take away our freedoms on "Boston Legal" tonight. Well written speech, delivered with all the passion a good actor can convey. Hope someone is able to put it up on YouTube (I don't know how people get those clips to post; I have to make my own). I wish people in the real world (or even in that simulacrum of the real world mass media news) could speak out that way. Actors make great political speechmakers, which is why, I guess, some of them like Warren Beatty get to thinking maybe they could really do it in real life (and now we have Arnold Sheissekopf, playing the part fairly well on the medium sized stage of Sacramento. I do believe it's a bad idea to have actors being in elected political positions, but boy do I wish the politicians on the progressive side of things could speak that excitingly.
