On Keith Olberman: Was the wrong son of Bush 41 elected president?
They're suggesting that HW envisioned JEB, not DUBYA, becoming president. Jeb's loss in the 1994 FL governor's race set that back. That's why HW is crying.

that Georgie has fucked up any plans for Jeb ascending to the throne. The Dynasty is over - the Bush's are now political lepers.

4. Everyone knows this
that Jeb, not Smirk, was Padre's choice to follow in his footsteps. Even he knew that a drunken idiot would not fare well in that job. OTOH, if you think that Jeb's not going to be president, you need to come back to reality. By 2012 the media will be ramming him down our throats just like they did with Duh-bya.

8. They can shove all they want, we're not biting
I don't believe that any Bush could ever be elected president ever again, the first Bush failed and people gave the second Bush a chance but it is now clear to just about everyone that he was an even bigger failure than his father. The Republicans could be arrogant enough to nominate Jeb, but there is not much chance that he could actually win an election. Sure the current Bush did not win the election either and that didn't stop him, but the margins against Jeb would be so huge there is no way Diebold could pull off such a massive theft.

20. I agree with you. I think Bush One knew W wasn't up to the job at that
time or anytime. He thought Jeb would be better suited to carry on the so-called "dynasty". This, I believe, was the cause of his breakdown in talking about Jeb. He knows that W has ruined it for Jeb and other Bushes to follow. W would never have been the "chosen one" of the party if Jebbie would have won the governorship the first time around. My opinion is that those governorships were just suppose to be a stepping stone for bigger things for that family, and now it's all come crashing down.

9. As a Florida resident, I know for a fact that Jeb is a better man than W
Not to say I wouldn't vote for anyone over Jeb. I'm saying that Jeb actually has a brain. He's married to a hispanic. He's had his own issues with family, especially a daughter battling drug addiction. And despite what anyone says, having sat through two hurricanes in my area last year(and 4 statewide) the guy did a fantastic job of organizing immediate response to the crisis. He cared, at least about those storms. He's no saint, but in comparison to W?? He's friggin Jesus Christ superstar. I still voted for his last two opponents!

11. Sounds like the campaign ads we're going to start hearing for Jeb
soon.

Depending on how much you're making, you might want to see if you can get on his campaign team.

21. Are you kidding me? george wrecked Texas and from what I have
heard, Jeb did the same to Florida. For the record, the bushes don't care about anyone but themselves. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.

15. Yup, and THIS is the reason Bush 1 sobbed the other day.
I think Poppy Bush knows that Jeb should have been president instead of Dumya.

I think Poppy Bush knows bitterly that Dumya is the same bad seed he ALWAYS was. Any parent knows that kids just don't change that much. The same emotional behavior you see in your 3 year old comes out in your teenager, albeit in a different manifestation. We've SEEN that as parents. And THAT was the bitter pill that Poppy was swallowing as he blubbered.

"I failed as a Dad. I failed as a Dad. I should have known", etc.

The actual words that set him off had to do with how proud he was of Jeb accepting his loss with dignity.

Could it have been thinking that that would have been the far better path in Florida? I remember reading here what some poster said about how Poppy looked scared the night of the election cause he knew they were gonna rig Florida.

27. Well...Jeb is the lesser of the four evil sons
After the Chimp there's Neil and Marvin. They also have a younger sister (Doro) but I doubt she's interested in politics, and the GOP base will be unlikely to nominate a woman for President.

23. Agreed, if Jeb had won in 1994 he'd be in office which scares me even more
Bush has to lose a lot of votes because he's such an inarticulate speaker. Jeb actually sounds like he knows what he's doing.
