Republicans said they will be watching Democrats closely.

"Republicans over the next two years will focus on holding Democrats accountable and recommitting to reforms that deliver for hardworking families."

1. Thank God I swallowed my milk before opening this thread, didn't fancy shooting it out my nose.
We already know conservative humor generally isn't humorous, but Danny Diaz's joke takes the cake in awfulness.

2. Unlike the repukes, Democratic leaders will have
the repuke controlled corporate media to keep an aye on them. To bad the corporate media was simply a mouth piece for the repukes these last six years. Maybe we wouldn't have the mess we have now if the corporate media had done their job.

4. If the Democrats are not very careful

they will be held accountable... for a bunch of straw-men. They need to respond vigorously to every media misrepresentation and every lie coming from the Republicans. They should start by responding to this bit of nonsense by Danny Diaz and loudly pointing out how hypocritical it is. We need to help by writing letters to the editor, calling in to talk shows, etc.

7. i think one reason the bushies got so powerful
is because their mouthpieces spew this type of hypocrisy so sincerely, and so constantly. it's like you can't see the forest for the bushes

8. they are trying to pretend they are still in charge, and so they are painting this as
a situation where they are going to have to step aside, but they will still watch behind the scenes to make sure everything goes smooth.

Basically, when Dems start to turn things around and the nation gets stronger, the Repigs want to be able to take credit

10. what a laugh!
raising taxes? Who's blown the budget six ways to Sunday? Who led us into a war on based on lies? Who has profitted from a culture of lies and deceit?

Yeah, the thugs should watch how the Dems do things--because clearly, they need to learn how to do their job.
