Poll question: True or False
Edited on Wed Nov-29-06 02:08 PM by Tiggeroshii
Barack Hussein Obama has about three times the charisma as John Edwards, while John Edwards is still outstandingly charismatic.

8. I don't find him charismatic either,
not in the least, but for what it's worth, W is supposed to be charismatic as well, but I ain't never seen none there.

3. i'm donning my flame proof suit but truly I don't get this whole Obama
thing

he's a fine young man and smart as all get out from all appearances but why all the buzz on this guy? I don't find him a superlative speaker and he looks like a kid who needs some more maturity to really play with the big boys and girls

i prefer Claire McCaskill or even Harold Ford Jr (in spite of his sad loss) over Obama as far as fresh faces go

I have been loath to say this, but there it is....

4. pssst! Oprah!!!
While there was some 'talk' about him running, Oprah asked him to run on her show and did so in a tone of "You'ld be MY pick...PLEASE? PRETTY PLEASE?". That sort of launched it from just inside the Beltway talk to what we now have.

6. I like him too, but not ready yet.
He's won one election for sweet merciful craps sake! And against a Repuke in a sex scandal with the Borg lady! He needs to do some important shit in the Senate and cool his jets for a few years. Head a few commissions like Kerry did. Make a track record of excellence.

7. He also lost an election before he won in Illinois state senate.
It wasn't his first time in the ring.

9. Harold Ford?
Now that he's lost his Senate race, he's teaching a class at UT -- Disingenuous 101.
