Warner, Feingold, and Frist are out...
...and it hasn't even been two months yet.

Admitely, I was not happy to see Warner and Feingold go but the long list of candidates on both sides is growing shorter all the time and should only be half of what it is a year from now.

The media seems to know for sure that either Hillary or Obama will be our nominee. Let's not let these windbags get to decide for us.

1. Agreed.
Although apparently Russ has stated there's so much he can finally accomplish now that the Dems have the Houses back ... small steps at first, I guess.

There's always a last-minute VEEP nod ;)

2. Russ has been in the minority for most of his Senate career.
Except for the first 2 years of Clinton, he has never served in a Dem Senate with a Dem President.

5. That is a good point. We need to be careful about taking a
sitting congressperson out of our majority. We have plenty of Dem. leaders who can run without that happening. Gore/Edwards for one.

3. Political pundits are notoriously wrong.
It is to early to really know how the 08 race will shape up.For instance, Bahy has been very quite about his intentions, yet he is raising money. Obama, is the latest fad, and has a blank slate and little experience in running a major campaign. Let's see if he can make it till the last stretch. 08 is still a long ways off.

6. They Seem To Have Decided It will be Hillary vs Guiliani Already

They like that because the Republicans are sure to win that match-up.
