Cheney on the way out?
CQ Analyst Suggests ‘Rumsfeld’s Leaving Is Just The Beginning,’ Cheney Might Be Next

Appearing on MSNBC this afternoon, Congressional Quarterly political analyst Craig Crawford speculated that, as “neocons are heading for the hills,” Dick Cheney may be the next to leave the administration. He claimed the Vice President’s “authority is waning, if not gone.” “And my point is why would he want to stick around in this environment?” he asked. “All I’m seeing is a man getting isolated more and more.”

I give him six months, then he's out for "health reasons."

2. But of course. He'll resign in an attempt to forestall investigations
into the whole Halliburton mess, once the usual executive privilege arguments get tossed by the courts. Then Bush will pardon him, because of his health issues (a la Ford and Nixon's famous phlebitis).

8. Look for Cheney's replacement to be the GOP nominee for 2008.
Edited on Mon Nov-27-06 08:39 PM by TahitiNut
It would then be entirely consistent with the 'ethics' and 'morals' of the Bushoilini 'base' to martyr Smirk in mid-2008 ... garnering a sympathy vote for the mourning president/candidate and ridding the Reich of having Smirk (without the taxpayer-subsidized narcissistic supply - i.e. his puppet strings) become a total loose cannon as an ex-pResident.
I know - I've predicted this for quite some time. Watch. :scared:

25. Or even a 20-mule team
Cheney arranged for himself to be bu$h's running mate, despite the Constitutional prohibition against prez and vice-prez being residents of the same state.

Cheney likely pressed his hunting buddy on the Supreme Court to agree to hear bu$h vs. Gore once the Florida Supreme Court ruled that all the Florida votes had to be counted.

Cheney has been profiting handsomely during his time as "public servant".

28. Your problem is obvious-you're eight mules short!
Everyone knows it is a twenty mule team! Are you too young to remember the Boraxo ads Twenty mule team that made Ronald Reagan famous on "Death Valley Days"?

I remember the theme music, and the 20-mule team pitching for Boraxo soap, but that's as far as it goes

My Dad would have croaked at this mistake. He used to drive one in Jerome, an old mining town in AZ back in the day at the Old Daisy mine. He hauled timber for the mine when he was 19.

15. If Dick Cheney leaves, it can mean only one thing.
Disclaimer: I don't think Saudi Dick is going anywhere.

That said, if he does resign, need to spend more time with his crime family, health reasons, whatever,

IT MEANS THE END OF THE NEOCONS. Cue the Wizard of Oz soundtrack; Ding Dong, The Dick Is Dead. Release the flying monkeys.

Invisible Dick is the heart of the beast; no wonder it's diseased.

But I say, the wooden stake has yet to be redeployed.

I say, he lives.
