Words that really don't go together
A couple of months ago I was reading a review of The Da Vinci Code, and the reviewer, I think it was commented that the movie had a line you wouldn't really expect to hear in a movie (or a novel, for that matter): Tom Hanks: I need to get to a library. . . fast." Hmmm.

And then there's the headline today at cnn.com: Armed cartoonist in custody.

We are living in strange times. What's next? Heterosexual male Republican lawmaker accused of making pass at female intern in her 20s? Republican lawmaker supports gay marriage?

Those words are magnetically disinclined to be next to each other at the nuclear level. Only the Proton of Bullshit binds them together.
