EXCLUSIVE: Convicted Whistleblower Speaks Out on Diebold, May Have Sentence Reduced!
EXCLUSIVE: Whistleblower Stephen Heller Says 'Diebold Cannot be Trusted to Run Elections in America'
Plea Deal for 'Wobbly Felony' Conviction, 3-Years Probation, May be Reduced to Misdemeanor after One Year of Good Behavior

In an exclusive statement sent to The BRAD BLOG earlier today, excoriating the privatization of America's voting system, whistleblower Stephen Heller, says "Diebold has shown they cannot be trusted to run elections in America."

He oughta know.

As we reported last night (http://www.bradblog.com/?p=3824), Heller pled guilty yesterday, in an agreement with Los Angeles prosecutors, after his arrest earlier this year on felony charges related to his release of attorney-client privileged documents he obtained while working as a temporary word-processor at Diebold's law firm, Jones Day.

The agreement, which required he sign an apology, pay $10,000 in restitution and not discuss the documents he released, may also allow Heller's felony conviction to be reduced to a misdemeanor charge after one year of "good behavior." ...

FULL STORY, STATEMENT FROM HELLER:

5. Profound thanks to Stephen Heller and all those who have supported him
throughout this extremely difficult, patriotic sacrifice! The rest of us can only gape in awe at what he has been through in the cause of restoring democracy in our country!

Progressive Hollywood, stand up! Give this man a job!

And many thanks to Brad Friedman for news on this, and for standing behind Heller!

Stephen, some day the real felons will see justice, and it is going to be sweet. You are a great hero!

6. What was in the Documents?
If the documents are proof that in fact the votes of Americans can be rigged by this corporation then not only is he a true Patriot not one of us can rest until the process is ended. Main Stream America has no idea about this because I am sure if they did the consequences simply out weigh the need for Diebold.

7. You can read 'em yourself...

Many are posted over at the Oakland Tribune.

But for a quickish summary, you can see either the article I wrote on Heller over the summer for Hustler: http://www.bradblog.com/Docs/StephenHeller_Hust1106.pdf

Or check out Ian Hoffman's just posted coverage on Heller's plea deal here:
http://www.insidebayarea.com/ci_4701950?source=rss
...He gives quite a few of the incriminating points revealed by the documents on Diebold's chicanery in California.
