Over and over again, the media kept telling us how "disciplined" the GOP was
The true grownups. They spoke with one voice. "Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer!"

They picked their congressional leaders like real diplomats. We should envy their "reserve" and staunch discipline.

Came to find out, they were the biggest fuck ups this side of the Atlantic.

so, if the Dems behave differently when picking their leaders, and assigning their committee chairs, does that make them the best thing that happened to this country since sliced bread?

1. That discipline wasn't always a compliment anyway
Or shouldn't have been. What that means is that the Republicans tend to all run towards destruction as one.

3. Perception is reality Have to be on message uh...
what other BS catchphrase applies here? Is it also created by the RW to catch the parameters of discussion?

See as long as you are on message as long as you are in lock step it doesn't matter what you say the media will respect your discipline

The Earth is flat-as long as everyone says it the MSM will harp on how wonderfully together they all are. When they ask a Dem about it and they give the reporter a :wtf: look it will be reported that they have no response no organization they are too nuanced.

4. The pictures of them together were spooky. Bush, Cheney, Hastert, Frist, Santorum, DeLay
With their hate filled scowls, intolerant and greedy pigs.

7. Bondage and discipline, that is
As for competence and shit like that, forget it. But getting tied up and their bums smacked, they're THERE.

If I ever hear that piece of shit Matalin say "the grown ups are in charge," I'm going to sell her to a rendering plant.

8. Rubber stamping

requires no imagination, no discussion, no debate, no thought. It is often a betrayal of the constituents back home. It is undemocratic and unAmerican.

9. Excellent points! And don't forget-
The people who led them into the political wilderness were just re-elected to leadership positions, like Boner. And Helmet-Head is even back. These guys are holding on to their losing team. They're going to keep digging until they see daylight, by gawd.

I'd also like to thank Elizabeth Dole for our wins. She was incompetent as a Red Cross director, and she brought that incompetence to the NRSC in spades. This is what happens when you appoint political hacks to important positions: they fuck things up. Glad to see they're committed to staying the course. The current republican leadership is going to lead them even further into the political wilderness, in search of the promised land of permanent republican majorities.

It's good to be a Democrat. :)
