Litmus Test problem -- I feel really conflicted about Sen. Dorgan today
Edited on Mon Jan-30-06 07:07 PM by Armstead
Although I have been railing against the spineless collaboratioinists as much as anyone, I guess this shows how difficult it is to apply this as a litmus test.

I have been a fan of Sen. Byron Dorgan for years -- Ever since I saw him blasting media consolidation in the 90's, while other Democrats were still ignoring that little problem.

Since then, he has often been on the side of the angels on issues like global trade too.

He hasn;t been a show horse, but he has been a real workhorse for the movement for a fairer economy and taking the country back from the corporations.

So I cannot conceive of what he is thiniking today. Why is someone like that -- who is a Democrat with a spine -- caving in on Alito? I just don't get it.
