Fraud suspect led fast lifestyle: cops

Car once owned by NBA star, went to party for Diddy

The headrest of the luxury car seized this week from alleged ripoff artist Terry Faulkner was embroidered with the letters A and W.

The car -- a Maybach manufactured by Mercedes-Benz valued at more than $150,000 -- was seized from Faulkner's garage in southwest suburban Tinley Park, capping a six-month mortgage fraud investigation by Chicago Police and the Cook County state's attorney's office.

The Maybach once belonged to homegrown NBA basketball star Antoine Walker, but it's unclear if Faulkner bought the car directly from the Miami Heat player. Walker's agent said he has never heard of Faulkner. snip

Police acted like "gentlemen" and rang the doorbell, a source said. But when officers saw the man running through the mansion with a laptop computer and files under his arm, they busted down the door.

"We explained you can't flush a laptop computer down the toilet," the source said.

2. That' what those handy little keychain USB
drives are for!

If they aren't big enough, then use them to store the encryption keys for where your porn is stashed.

4. documents of interest - asset forfeiture
"On 22 July 2004, the Justice Dept—via the Government Printing Office—told libraries to destroy five documents on asset forfeiture, a highly controversial practice in which the authorities take people's property. (Sometimes the people have been convicted of crimes; other times they haven't even been charged with a crime.)"
