2. Nobody Wants Him
I can't understand why, but he seems to have this stigma attached to him. I'm now of the opinion there is about a 10% chance he'll run for President Ever again.

My first two choices for President would probably have to be Gore or Feingold, and now it looks like neither will be running. Guess I'll have to hope Edwards is able to run a strong campaign, since he's my 3rd choice.

3. AL Gore, reverse Nixon.
If Richard Nixon could come back and we saw the crimes that Nixon did, most likely Al Gore, an honest politician can come back after the tattered and dishonest Legacy of the CHIMPEROR GEORGE W BUSH.

4. Why Is He So Unfavorable?
I heard a poll which said the 3 candidates with the highest unfavorable ratings, and above 50% of people polled that said they would NEVER vote for them to be President. The 3 people were, in order of least likely.

1. Gingrich

2. Kerry

3. Gore.

Gore had a 52% that would never vote for them.

7. Basically because he empowered the American People, when

he championed the internet and the mass corporate media have hated him ever since, for taking some of their power and giving it to the people. I call it the Prometheus effect, only instead of devouring his liver for all eternity, they lied, slandered, obfuscated, omitted or in other words bore false witness against him.

If you go to the Daily Howler website and google "War Against Gore" or "2000 debates" you will get a nice recap of the American Pres s's treatment of one of our best and brightest.

They waged a war against Al Gore's integrity and credibility beginning in March of 99. This long term slander has affected his ratings as it would anyone.

I believe the internet will gradually rectify this situation, I just hope it's soon enough to save life as we know it.

5. I guess that's true, if....
you define "Nobody" as the plurality of DailyKos readers, and 68% of the people in an AlterNet poll.

8. Not to mention every DU poll that included his name.
He usually runs near the top of the pack on every poll I've seen in GD.

6. I disagree...
I think a hell of a lot of people want Gore, he definitely has a better chance than Kerry(as much as I love him). And Gore is Mr. Green Planet, and everybody knows that's exactly what we need to focus on the most!

12. au contraire, mon ami
He's arguably the most popular candidate here at DU. See these results from smoogatz's straw poll over the past weekend. Gore drew 46% of DUers' votes:

I know it's not scientific, but Gore has done consistently well in these polls here.
