So when do we get to gerrymander every district in the US
so Republicans can never again get elected? Hey, the Republicans did it in Texas, and what's good for the goose is good for the gander... The Supreme Court even said it's OK to redistrict whenever we want...

2. Don't see why we
can't start now. The SCOTUS ruled that the 10 year thing was just a suggestion, not an inflexible rule. So all those states with brand new Dem governors can start it up!

4. It is just a suggestion...
for Republicans. For Democrats, it's the LAW.

3. We obviously have no need of doing this.
Just look at last week's election results.

See, WE DON'T NEED TO CHEAT.

5. Don't you think that the election results...
would have been even more of a landslide, if not for Karl Rove, Diebold and most of our "news" media? I call THAT cheating, and it HAS to be stopped. Why should Democrats be forced to play with a handicap? This isn't a game, after all.

7. I agree about the election results.
But I fail to understand how refusing to cheat could ever be considered "a handicap."

The moral failures of our opponents ARE their handicap. They are bound to their deceptions, they will be found out, and they will be stopped.

See, the truth will always prevail.

9. The "handicap" is not refusing to cheat...
but being cheated - by a party that has loaded the courts and buying the major media. THAT's a handicap. And I agree about the moral failures of the GOP being their handicap. It's just that the media always downplay that, and amplify what they seem to believe are Democrats' foibles.

6. Isn't that actually supposed to be the STATE's congress's job?
not the Federal level?

Do we have the majority in the States?

If we won the majority in Texas, that would be sweet justice ... I'd say 1/4/2007, then ...

8. A logical grid aligned with zipcodes is all that's needed
the districts should reflect who lives there.. republican OR democratic...

I object to the distortion, no matter who does it..us or them..
