If a drug company puts out an ad about a drug and it turns out that their product doesn't work as advertised, they can get sued for billions, charged with false advertising, and squashed out of existence. It's called false advertising, and it's illegal.
Every time I have read a thread about Fux News, and how it ought to be held accountable for its blatant propaganda, inevitably there have been replies indirectly defending Fux News. The repliers are "uncomfortable" with the government censoring a "broadcast entity" (if you will...) It's about "free speech", "The first ammendment", all that nonsense. They're not monitored by the FCC, so "nothing can be done". FUCK THAT SHIT.
There is no question: Fux News is NOT a news channel. We all know it, they know it, the government damn well knows it, and there has been proof of it. By claiming to be a news channel, they are LYING. This is not about free speech. This is manipulation of the sheeple on a disgustingly large scale. People think they're getting the truth from them, AND IT HAS TO BE STOPPED.
I have NO problem with them if they change their name to "Fux Opinion Channel". Right now, it is false advertising. Other corportations are not allowed to make false claims about the products they sell. Why can Fux News do so?
