Tom Daschle on Ed Schultz predicting Dems will fall well short of 41 votes
he is predicting 30-35 NO votes on cloture, and also that the fallout from the vote will be shortlived. We will, indeed, see if Daschle is right.

4. Matters little the number of no votes
What matters is the yes votes being less than 60.

11. They have 57 of the 60 votes they need for cloture -
If all the people who pledged to vote 'yes' for Alito, vote yes for cloture... It may be almost over. It was a hell of a fight.

12. Says ND-SD are "Republican States" -- they have to vote their constituents
Daschle says his "heart goes out to those folks" (Red State senators)... ...but "that's why we bring in the big bucks."
