Did gas prices shoot up right after the election...
where you live?

WHere I live, the prices started going up on Wednesday and now we're a good 15-20 cents a gallon higher.

Surely this must just be a coincidence, right?

3. Despite the GOP blaming it on the Dems.....
Given that the Democrats haven't even done anything yet, and have not even assumed office, I don't think they did anything. I'm sure Fox will find a way to blame Dems for it though.

5. Yep
On Tuesday there were places where you could get gas for just under $2 on Wednesday they were up about 10 cents. I expect they'll probably go up a little higher.

4. Should anyone really be surprised?
There is know way they can say that as little as one week ago there was excess inventory numbers, and now say we have supply issues

9. I'll take that bet.
I say that we will see a spike in prices the week the Democrats take office. The Grand Oil Party will make sure the sheeple pay for their disobedience.

11. Not a coincidence. According to a news segment on election day in San Diego,
(Channel 10, ABC affiliate) gas prices were lowered after the summer during election season. Someone from a consumer watchdog group was quoted as saying that the gas prices were directly related to the election. I am trying to get the link on the website for you.

12. Dallas: Still $1.99 at Racetracks, $2.05 other stations
Same as pre-election. Question is..would they have gotten higher if the repukes remained in control. Maybe the oil people are laying low for a while--knowing that they are potential targets for Congressional investigations come January.

13. Seems the same to me in Nebraska...
About $2.15 or so. I didn't see any difference at all. It's been this price for many, many weeks now.

14. yep.
For months LTTE reflected a cynicism about the "lower" gas prices per an attempt by the corps to help the GOP. The quick bounce up - just reconfirms that impression. More folks are getting savvy, which is a very good thing.

15. Coincidence My ass!!!
Gas prices started rising the day after the election. My wife speculated that it was a punishment to the public for allowing the evil liberals to win majorities in the House as well as the Senate.

(She is a raging liberal as I am, so please don't take her words the wrong way.)

18. Nat'l average up to $2.99 by New Years -- watch for it
Funny thing is, it doesn't matter who won the election, they would have done the Same Damn Thing regardless.

And yes, it's blatant manipulation.
