I just discovered something about the videos in the video forum

It's not earth shattering, but I wanted to share something that I stumbled on by accident.

If you click the videos (not on the arrow to start it but anywhere else in the square) TWICE, it opens the youtube page it is embedded from. Very interesting little bit of trivia and a way to get to the original page at youtube when you want to rate the video up or comment on it there too.


That's all. Perhaps some of you already knew that, but I didn't, and I thought it was worth sharing.

3. I'm on dial-up and can get video streight from YouTube - though not very well. I can't get vidios

to play here at DU. I was hoping if I doubleclicked it like you said, maybe I could go to YouTube and watch, but it still would not work :(

Oh well, someday when I get rich, I'll get broadband.

5. Youtube is acting a bit strange right at this moment

I can't get anything to load at all. Perhaps they are having a server glitch of some sort.

If I were you, I would try again later, just to see if it is the server or if you really can't get this little trick to work.

I am on broadband and I can't get there at all right now myself, so my money is on the glitch theory. If you try it later and it works, please return and post that so other with dialup might find some way to watch too. :hug:

4. A big thank you

I have to run another application that shuts down my video capabilities. I usually have to either run another browser or close out my usual browser and restart it. This makes things a lot easier. I can now save them to my quick links and know where to find them.
