Lest we forget: Hurricane Katrina victims don't want to "make nice"

The poor man in this video typifies the heartache of a people who yearned for SOME leadership. "Impeachment" too distasteful for people? For a man who strummed guitar as people drowned? Fine. Then for the sake of the thousands who died in Katrina, at least INVESTIGATE. Hire a "Ken Starr". If they can spend millions on investigating oral sex, surely we investigate what went wrong in this disaster.

4. yep, exactly
One of the many Crimes against Humanity committed by this cabal -- the death and destruction and the irreplaceable loss of a great American city that must not, that cannot, go uninvestigated.

6. something occurred to me tonight
when I was watching the U2/Greenday New Orleans music video - while it was Iraq that was cited as the top reason for the slaughter on Nov 7, it really was Katrina that knocked the rose-colored glasses off the faces of many, many voters, enabling them to see the truth of what was going on elsewhere with those incompetent, evil bastards

8. yeah, I noticed that, too. in fact, one of my friends who was previously
'on the fence' about the * cabal had his eyes opened by that event. I mean, I don't really understand why the illegal invasion of Iraq wasn't proof enough, but the criminal negligence exhibited right there in front of everyone during Katrina is really undeniable, IMO.

a lifelong republican coworker was sickened by Katrina - he kept saying over and over, I don't understand where the government is, how they could just let those people die - he told me, I saw Harry Connick Jr there and the people still didn't have water. It bothered him when they blamed the local authorities - he said, if they were that bad it was even MORE reason for the feds to get their asses there. He voted straight Dem Nov 7. Katrina was when bush's ratings nose-dived and never really recovered.

3. The party of personal responsibility
sure wants us to all of sudden forget about holding anyone accountable for a whole host of sins and disasters.

I guess holding people accountable is only good if the accountable people are Liberal.

7. Impeachment probably isn't enough.

Merely removing this man from power is probably too small a price to pay.

I say investigate the crap out of them, bring all the dirt into the light, THEN impeachment, unless he resigns which would be BETTER, as impeachment carries the risk of acquittal, THEN the Hague.

11. I hope that Mother of all Evil
is the first of her family to arrive in hell.
My Katrina PTSD just will not go away and I hope in some ways that it never does because my anger of Bush and his government is what keeps me going right now.

Nola folks are the best in the world.
