GOP ALREADY CELEBRATING
A person I chat with online is a caterer in the DC area. She just got a massive order for party food to be delivered to The Heritage Foundation by 4PM today.

Are we gonna let them get away with this?

Lets spoil their party!

Call ALL of the anti filibuster Senators on this list http://www.democrats.com/alito-48 - Leave work if you must. Tell them you have a headache. But CALL!!!!

1. NOW is an even better time to SYMBOLICALLY slap the GOP down!
with a big fat filibuster in their fucking faces! They're so smug, dancing like school kids, blowing raspberries at the dems. There would be no better, more humiliating, brutal smackdown than to fail to get cloture now. If Harry Reid could herd the cats and make it happen, he'd be a political hero and a historical hero on the order of the great defenders of the constitution we all read about in our history books.

Are you listening, Harry? Herd them cats, dammit! Never a better time!

8. I wouldn't read much into that
Food is symbolic in defeats as well as victories... eat when you celebrate and eat when you mourn (ever been to a wake?). Even if they knew absolutely that Alito would go down in flames, they'd still gather and still snarf the crab cakes while boo-hooing on each others shoulders.

Having a food order in with a caterer doesn't mean diddly poo.
