Democrats didn't win - we were blown in on the wind
What's with this meme? We are hearing it constantly - even in Allen's concession speech. Republicans are trying to make it sound as if it were an uncontrolable act of nature and not their own fault and their own failings. It was just the wind. As if only the election had been on a calmer day, it could never have happened.

So lets continue this windy analogy.

Republicans never cared which way the wind was blowing. They paid no attention to the wind. They thought they could bully the wind. They sucked wind. The wind got stronger and their houses were built of straw. No one could have anticipated a Cat 5 wind in November. They thought it would all blow over. The wind carried a strong scent of Macaca. They said, we never said stay the course, but they didn't turn the boat and ride with the wind. They are all windbags.

It was just the winD.

4. We won, but we have a mandate (no, not that kind)
It is to get something done, unlike the slugs in the Repuke party, who only tore stuff down. Axe the lobbyists, put in brutal ethics laws, get to work on healthcare and immigration, and hold open hearings on the war to try to find a way out of this mess. That's what America voted for, and we have the smart, capable leadership in place to do it. We have a golden opportunity here to show Americans that our policies are far, far superior to those of the wingnuts. Our families are suffering, healthcare costs are clobbering the average person if they're lucky enough to have coverage, wages are stagnant, corporations are dodging taxes right and left, and the wealthy have sucked up six years of growth, every single penny.
