It's not enough to just vote no on cloture.

Talking down the filibuster in a public forum at this juncture is in very bad taste, and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

1. Move on!
He is a vote for us .....

Politics is about the art of what we can get done.

He is voting no on Alito and no on Cloture. We have won that battle ..... call Dorgan,
Conrad, Byrd, Snowe, Hagel, and Salazr and ask em to at least abstain from voting on cloture.

4. how can sloppy 2nds alito be a consideration?
the guy has a record of racist judgements, he's a brutal nasty who wants blacks/the poor oppressed, he's a liar and his bush contains a prick the like of nothing ever seen in usa history. Obama had a chance to end the career of a known nazipooh operator in the pigmedia when russert asked him about harry belafonte simply by saying 'your racist assumptions are annoying pigman' or so on, but obama quickly moved to assist his peoples' enemy by overlooking russert's blatant racism...if time and effort has to be spent on obama, then fukkit, we deserve everything the gopig throws at us.

2. Remember, he voted for Connie
Edited on Sun Jan-29-06 04:04 PM by bajamary
I did volunteer work for Obama here in my hometown of Chicago. But I rather doubt I'll do that again, as one of his first votes was an unconditional YES FOR CONNIE RICE.

Now as you know, Ms. Rice is one of the central architects of the WMD and rush to attack Iraq. And Obama, a very bright man, knew this quite well.

Thank God my other Senator, Dick Durbin, really is a man with some honor and a lot of guts.

Obama is not to be trusted. Keep your eyes wide open with this brother.

8. Connie Rice is Condi Rice's cousin
Two different people. Connie is a liberal.

Just sayin'.

"Rice graduated from Harvard College in 1978. She won the Root Tilden Public Interest Scholarship to New York university School of Law, where she earned her law degree in 1984. After law school, she served as law clerk to the Honorable Damon J. Keith, judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and worked at Morrison & Foerster as a litigation associate. In 1991, she joined the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and became co-director of LDF’s Los Angeles Office in 1996. The credential she prizes most, however, is her first-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do."

3. HE's SUPPORTING THE FILIBUSTER!!!
That's what counts for now. Don't waste time and resources right now on contacting him to express your displeasure with other things he said. If you want to do that, then do it after this whole thing is over.

6. Egg Zac Lee!
A vote is a vote ......

The issue here is Alito ..... just like whenever we have a rally about ..... Iraq:

Racism
world Bank
sexism
jobs
that funny feeling you get after you hit you crazy bone in your fingers
gay rights
mass transportation
health care
and so on all get thrown in. Eyes on the prize!

5. Good on Obama for his 2 no votes. He's sticking by the party and that's
good. If the price we pay is that he complains about it, so what? He's got a right to complain if he wants.
