now that filibuster is in the news, this is a STRAIGHT PARTY LINE VOTE
democrats should vote STRAIGHT PARTY LINE on this one.

ANY ARGUMENT democrats have ever made for opposing filibuster were based on the presumption that one would not be sought.
but now that kerry is in the news as seeking one, and that an untold number are on board, the choice is no longer between letting shrub has his dictatorship-supporting scalito on the court for a lifetime and being called an obstructionist on the other.

because now that the filibuster is out there, the choice is between being a democrat and a republican. NOW THAT WE'RE SEEKING A FILIBUSTER, we will either succeed or fail in this attempt. failure will make for very bad press for ALL democrats, including and possibly ESPECIALLY those nominal democrats who insist on seeing this fascist through even if the democratic party takes a major hit.

victory = democratic party has power
defeat = democratic party has no power.

the choice is easy.

3. If Alito gets in...
we'll all be waiting for three things:
1. Alito to die.
2. Get our republic back.
3. Bush to leave office.

2. The simplest of truths are so profound. Thanks for this. Spread the word!

We all win on this or we all lose.

Any Democrat who supports Alito makes us ALL lose!

Simple truths.
