Just genuine people who want to make sure we make the most of the victory. The biggest debate I see right now is to impeach or not to impeach. Nobody says he doesn't DESERVE to be impeached, the debate is on what will help the country more. That's what this is about, helping the country. If putting your knee in Bush's crotch is what it'll take, then seeing him rolling around on the ground in pain is just icing on the cake. I'd just as soon see all of these assholes swinging from a gallows. This isn't just about stealing money, that's old-school politics. This is about starting wars and killing hundreds of thousands. This is war crimes territory.
One thing I think is true, Bush does not have any sense of history but he DOES have a big ego. He cares about his legacy like he cares about the length and girth of his penis. Thinking that he'll go down in history as the worst American president ever, far worse than daddy, will eat him alive. He's got a real oedipal competition going with his dad.
I'm feeling more energized than I have in years. I want to make sure we NAIL control of this victory, make sure that we do everything in our power to consolidate and build our momentum to 2008. We worked for this victory but we couldn't have done it without the miserable record of the Republicans. If they had a strong record of performance and results, we would have lost. Now it's up to us to show that we're worth keeping around. We need to make sure we get good stuff passed and call the Republicans on being obstructionist assholes when they are. And seriously, the Dems need to make a case study of Jon Stewart. He's showing them how to call the Pukes on their shit. The Republicans are very good about being organized, marching in lockstep. They're like a Roman legion, all phalanxed up and ready to tussle. We just kicked their asses like Germanic barbarians. But captalizing on that victory and pushing on to Rome is going to take some discipline.
