1. pretty reliable blog
I don't think they would have reported it if they didn't think it was credible.

3. I'd like to know where this blogger is getting this info
It just doesn't add up.
Think of the dems that won't do it - Landrieu, Conrad, Byrd, Nelson

unless we are getting a few repubs to join us, which I would be in total shock.

I want to believe this so badly.
But I know better. Need more info.

7. I actually hope some of these yes votes will stay home
they need 60 votes, so instead of helping them they might as well just sit this one out

10. That would be sensible or it ruins it
in the old days of local politics the whip would tell members to stay at home or go for a smoke during the vote.

8. Nope, it's not present
That might work out to the same in a cloture vote, but I suspect that Frist would control the vote till he got his ducks in a row.

11. We have at least 15
Sarbanes and Menendez came on board. But there are others who haven't spoken who would just shock me if they didn't support this; Levin, Murray, Cantwell, to name a few. I don't know where we are at on the count for sure, but I'd bet it will be much closer to 40 than it appears now.
