9. we need no specific number - they need 60 votes - and only have 59 yes's
at this time.

We win if none of the no votes feels a need to end debate - to vote for cloture.

7. I know JK said that this is not" Mr Smith Goes to Washington"
Wouldn't it be sweet to see Ted Kennedy, Barbara Boxer, John Kerry, Barack Obama, Harry Reid and so many more just letting it rip and standing up for the Constitution and firing a broadside at the BFEE.

for cloture

http://www.commondreams.org/views06/0128-21.htm

so i guess if they don't want to filibuster--fine. just stay home or do not vote for cloture.

23. See I feel like it's that scene in "An American President"...
Where Sydnie Ellen Wade's office has the number of votes they need and the number of votes they have on big sheets of paper, and they tear off a sheet each time they land a vote. We need a TOTE BOARD at the top of this forum showing us how many we have and how many we need to get. :)
