It Was Exactly 2 Years Ago.....
I sat at my computer and was overjoyed at what looked like a certain victory by Kerry. High turnout. People fed up. Exit polling show trending towards Kerry. It was about 9:30 PM EST that EVERYTHING changed, and there was King george and his buddies sitting around laughing and happy! What will tonight bring? If polls are to be believed, it will be a certain victory for the good guys.

That election was on 11/2. I know because I got mugged on the way home from the Kerry thing that night.

7. Ah yes, the chef-boyardee incident
The only amusing (not that you getting cracked in the head with a brick was funny - the aftermath of you chasing the guy with your soon to be dinner was) part of a hellish time.

13. Best thing that could have happened
I was seriously considering going Code Red on my apartment with my Irish broadsword before moving to Mongolia to become a yak herder...but then the brick hit me, and I realized I'd just survived an attempted murder, and it all kind of slid off me. I was back to work for THIS ELECTION the very next day.

Things felt weird...especially when those first results were coming in. You had greater faith than me. :)

6. Let us hope people just getting off work head to the polls instead of home.
Cause that is a different demographic from those that vote during the day. It ain't over till it is over.

8. Well exactly four years ago...
I pledged to stay up and watch until there was a President. After 3 days (no really,) I finally fell asleep and have learned my lesson. After the Daily Show tonight, I'll find out what else happened in the morning. :)

12. The SECOND I heard the term "moral values," I knew we were fucked. You can
ask Mrs R. Up to that point, I hadn't heard the term ONCE thoughout the campaign. That was when I knew they were stealing it again. Redstone

16. Stealing a presidential election is one thing
But stealing several separate elections in each state is another, perhaps. The presidential election is one focus on one election.
