Union boots-on-the-ground are doing it again!
Two reports in today from Ohio and Pennsylvania, where AFL-CIO and Working America canvassers and volunteers are among more than 100,000 activists nationwide taking part in the “Final Four” days of intense get-out-the-vote effort.

Our Final Four efforts have been nothing short of amazing—the energy and excitement that we are experiencing as hundreds of new activists join our efforts each day is breathtaking. On Saturday, Working America more than doubled the number of people knocking on doors—32,032 doors to be exact. We averaged 70 doors knocked per canvasser, with Cleveland and Youngstown both exceeding 90 doors knocked per canvasser. Jenn Jannon’s crew in Western Pennsylvania led the way, knocking on 7,700 doors in the heart of Hart country.

In Pennsylvania, AFL-CIO political field coordinator Bernard Pollack gives us the following report. The other side was not prepared for what we had coming to them Saturday and what’s in store for them in the next three days.

For the Republicans, it was just a taste for what we have coming. Already 5,282 union volunteers have signed up to join us on Election Day, and with your help and full phone banks, we will push hundreds more on the phones tomorrow and also on the streets Monday. {b]Our No. 1 collective priority is making sure we have a 6,000-strong person army on Election Day.
