Question about signs outside polling place in VA
My sister just said there are a ton of Allen signs in the ground at her polling place (a school) in N VA. Is that illegal? I thought it was electioneering.

1. I believe it depends on their distance from the polling place.
When I went to vote this morning, there were a ton of signs in the ground near the polling place, ALL for Democratic candidates.

2. Yep they have to be at least 50 feet from the entrance to the Polling Place
I saw Allen signs on one side and Webb on the other side of the walkway leading to the fron doors.

And both parties had people there. Felt like I was walking a gauntlet.

Asked the Webb guy how turnout was on the way in and kidded with the Allen lady that her sighn was too close on the way out. It was like a foot closer. She was completely humorless...go figure.

5. You always hear about the "angry, Bush haters", but as we
were leaving the school where we voted we overheard an old guy telling the Dem staffer to shove his voter guide up his butt. In fact everyone we passed that had a Republican voter guide looked like they'd just tasted something sour. Yet all the Dems were smiling and pleasant.
