119 calls in Central Minnesota tonight.

A little more than 1/2 were no answer, wrong number, etc.

About 12 hang ups. Most people were really gracious about the call.

One woman said, "I always vote republican (pause) until this year. This year we are voting for Amy Klobuchar -- she's the Democrat, right? Mike Hatch and Patty Wetterling." The tipping vote for her was the cut in MinnesotaCare. (State health insurance for the working poor.)

And the good news, at least 3 people told me they were so glad I called because they needed to know where to vote.

I feel like I made a difference. Some people mentioned all the phone calls and i just said, "It's because this election is so important, so close, and your vote is so important." When I said that, most people were fine.

There was the guy who said, "Well, I already got a call from Bill Clinton and Patty Wetterling." And I said, "Wow, I'm in such good company." And he laughed.

I made at least 200 and all of us in the office made over 820!

List was all Dems who hadn't voted yet (early voting here) and only 10% of them were for the publican, so we figure the solid Dems are just about 90%!

9. It was a blast

I expected people to get mad, but very few did and those taht did were dinos. T'was nice to have a few tell me how grateful they were that I was calling, and all those who were happy to be exclaiming their vote for our new congressman. I highly recommend it to everyone... remember - the 2008 race starts on Nov. 8.
